Shaking Up the Mattress Industry

Mary Domito and Sharon Scott 2 Owners at Sleep & Dream Luxury Mattress Store, 510 W Cordova Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505 505-988-9195

Mary Domito and Sharon Scott have joined forces to create a unique mattress store experience in Sleep & Dream Luxury Bed Store. The journey began 13 years ago when Mary (better known as Mattress Mary) opened Sleep Sanctuary (now known as Taos Lifestyle). Taos Lifestyle’s sister store, Alamosa Home, opened its doors in 2015. Fast forward to 2017 as Mattress Mary formed a partnership with Sharon Scott, a prior colleague and mattress manufacture representative residing in Santa Fe. With over forty combined years in the mattress industry and a mutual vision of delivering superior quality products, value, and service, Mary and Sharon launched Sleep & Dream Luxury Bed Store in Santa Fe.

The brands carried at Sleep & Dream have been hand-selected based on quality and craftsmanship. Natural products such as wool, cotton, and horsetail can be found in numerous mattresses. Mattress Mary and Sharon passionately believe that luxury and value go hand in hand and a good night’s sleep shouldn’t be a luxury.  Price points begin at $1,000 and brands range from Eclipse to handcrafted tailor-made mattresses such as Hästens, Vispring, and Hypnos. For the customer searching for the Lamborghini of mattresses, Sleep & Dream carries the Hästens 2000T priced at $45,000.

“Every customer has different needs”, says Mary Domito, “our mission is to customize the mattress buying experience and mattress selection.” “Whether our customers visit us because they’re ready to replace their old mattress or they need to find a better solution for challenges including sleep apnea, back injuries, or just not sleeping well, our mission is to pair them with the right mattress to achieve their best night’s sleep.”

In addition to store ownership, Mattress Mary and Sharon both share a strong desire to support education, community and artistic presentations and are avid supporters of The Lensic Performing Arts Center. Back in 2009, Mary blended two things close to her heart, music and animals, to create the first Dog Days Benefit Concert for Stray Hearts Animal Shelter. Hosted by her production company Mollydog Productions, Dog Days Annual Benefit Concert is now in its eighth year.
